Health Minister assures: Narek Samsonyan receiving all necessary  medical care

ArmInfo.  Narek Samsonyan, host of the Imnemnimi podcast, is receiving the necessary medical care, as stated by Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan. She mentioned this while speaking to reporters regarding the health status of the opposition blogger, However, she needed help from  reporters to recall his name. Samsonyan is currently facing charges  of hooliganizm due to his use of profanity.

The Minister of Health declined to provide additional information on  this incident, citing medical confidentiality.  Minister Avanesyan  emphasized that every individual deprived of liberty in Armenia  receives comprehensive medical care. She noted that should a detainee  refuse state-provided services, they retain the right to seek  treatment at a medical center of their choice. "The rule of law in  Armenia and the approach to human rights, including the right to  health, are under constant  monitoring," Avanesyan stated.

This statement comes after a video circulated on Armenian social  media showing Samsonyan being brought to a court hearing in a  wheelchair. Recall, opposition figures Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen  Saghatelyan were detained in Yerevan on November 13, 2025.
