          <title>Today, another media outlet, &amp;quot;Armat-Media,&amp;quot; was effectively closed in Armenia</title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;The raid by law enforcement officers, which began around noon at the media outlet owned by Alexan Alexanyan&amp;mdash;a member of the team of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot; party, who was detained yesterday&amp;mdash;concluded with the confiscation of &amp;quot;Armat-Media&amp;#39;s&amp;quot; property and employees&amp;#39; phones, as well as the sealing of the media&amp;#39;s doors. This means that two days before the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, a media outlet associated with a party participating in the elections is being shut down.

The Union of Journalists of Armenia strongly condemns this horrific act of aggression against a media outlet. Effectively, in Armenia, the self-proclaimed &amp;quot;bastion of democracy,&amp;quot; a media outlet is being closed down, and this, at the very least, fails to attract the attention of international organizations and diplomatic missions operating in Armenia.

If there is a legal process, it must proceed without striking a blow to the operations of the media outlet. No media outlet should suffer from the political calculations of the political authorities and their obsession with settling scores with competitors.

          <title>NKR Parliament Speaker: Parliamentary еlection results will be  decisive for Armenia`s statehood, national security, and protection  of Artsakh people`s rights</title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;The results of the&amp;nbsp;June 7 parliamentary elections in Armenia will have a decisive impact&amp;nbsp;on Armenia&amp;#39;s statehood, national security, and the protection of the&amp;nbsp; rights of the people of Artsakh, as stated by Ashot Danielyan, the&amp;nbsp; Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, on&amp;nbsp; Facebook.&amp;nbsp;

He pointed out that the parliamentary elections in Armenia are taking&amp;nbsp; place at a fateful juncture for the Armenian people, following the&amp;nbsp; occupation of Artsakh and the forced displacement of its population.

&amp;quot;It is deeply concerning that healthy competition and the free&amp;nbsp; presentation of political views and platforms during the pre-election&amp;nbsp; period have transformed into a process of societal division, hate&amp;nbsp; speech, and the exploitation of administrative resources, accompanied&amp;nbsp; by political persecution, selective justice, and pressure on&amp;nbsp; opponents. The Armenians of Artsakh have not been spared from this,&amp;nbsp; as the incitement of hatred against them has continued and&amp;nbsp; intensified,&amp;quot; Danielyan emphasized.

He characterized the promotion of policies targeting national&amp;nbsp; identity, historical memory, and spiritual values, as well as&amp;nbsp; attempts to downplay the Artsakh issue and exclude it from Armenia&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp; foreign policy agenda, as unacceptable.

&amp;quot;The people of Artsakh have experienced the severe consequences of&amp;nbsp; this policy firsthand. I am confident that both the Artsakh Armenians&amp;nbsp; participating in these elections and the overwhelming majority of our&amp;nbsp; compatriots are capable of distinguishing truth from lies,&amp;nbsp; falsehoods, and deception; dead silence from real peace; subservience&amp;nbsp; to foreign interests from cooperation; and reckless adventurism from&amp;nbsp; statesmanship. &amp;nbsp;On June 7, they will choose those political forces&amp;nbsp; capable of halting this catastrophe and securing a truly peaceful and&amp;nbsp; dignified future for the Republic of Armenia,&amp;quot; the Speaker of the&amp;nbsp; Artsakh Parliament noted.

Danielyan assured that moving forward, they will continue to strive&amp;nbsp; by all possible legal means to protect the rights of the people of&amp;nbsp; Artsakh and fulfill their aspirations for return and the restoration&amp;nbsp; of statehood. &amp;nbsp;Concluding his statement, he expressed readiness to&amp;nbsp; cooperate with the next Armenian administration that will be formed&amp;nbsp; following the results of the vote.

&amp;quot;We stand ready for comprehensive cooperation with the new&amp;nbsp; authorities of the Republic of Armenia for the sake of protecting the&amp;nbsp; rights of Artsakh Armenians, ensuring the prosperity of our entire&amp;nbsp; nation, and strengthening the Republic of Armenia,&amp;quot; the Speaker of&amp;nbsp; the Artsakh Parliament concluded.&amp;nbsp;

          <title>Civil Contract`s final campaign rally commences in Yerevan </title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;The final&amp;nbsp;pre-election rally of the Civil Contract party, featuring its&amp;nbsp; candidate for Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, has commenced at&amp;nbsp; Republic Square in Yerevan.

During the rally, party representatives focused heavily on the&amp;nbsp; opposition, asserting that Armenia has never before witnessed such an&amp;nbsp; extensive opposition-led &amp;quot;agency network.&amp;quot; Additionally, speakers&amp;nbsp; took aim at the leader of the &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot; bloc, Samvel&amp;nbsp; Karapetyan&amp;mdash;intentionally avoiding addressing him by name&amp;mdash;and&amp;nbsp; declaring that &amp;quot;the era of oligarchs in this country is over.&amp;quot; The&amp;nbsp; political force&amp;#39;s speeches were predominantly centered around&amp;nbsp; allegations directed at their political opponents.

Recall, the official campaigning period for the political forces&amp;nbsp; participating in the parliamentary elections concludes on June 5. The&amp;nbsp; election campaign initially launched on May 8, leading up to the&amp;nbsp; parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026. <title> RA Prosecutor General`s Office  initiates  criminal case against the  late former NSS director</title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;The Prosecutor&amp;nbsp;General&amp;#39;s Office of Armenia has initiated a criminal case against the&amp;nbsp;late former director of the National Security Service (NSS) of the&amp;nbsp;
Republic, Gorik Hakobyan, and four other agency employees regarding&amp;nbsp;
the events of March 1, 2008.

As reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the Prosecutor&amp;nbsp;
General&amp;#39;s Office of Armenia, the case was initiated on charges of&amp;nbsp;
&amp;quot;committing official forgery, as well as organizing official forgery&amp;nbsp;
by subordinates.&amp;quot; &amp;quot;As part of the case, evidence was obtained that on&amp;nbsp;
March 1, 2008, Gorik Hakobyan, in the absence of grounds, backdated a&amp;nbsp;
secret letter, which was a false document, stating that &amp;quot;the rallies&amp;nbsp;
and marches of the first president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan,&amp;nbsp;
and his associates in Freedom Square in Yerevan are aimed at&amp;nbsp;
destabilizing the situation in Yerevan. In addition, protesters will&amp;nbsp;
be given firearms, explosives, and batons that could be used during&amp;nbsp;
possible provocative and illegal actions,&amp;quot; the Prosecutor General&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp;
Office reported, adding that criminal proceedings have also been&amp;nbsp;
initiated against other individuals within the scope of this&amp;nbsp;
investigation.&amp;nbsp;

It is worth noting that the case was opened after Armenia&amp;#39;s second&amp;nbsp;
president, Robert Kocharyan, announced on June 4, 2026, that Armenian&amp;nbsp;
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had been found guilty and convicted in&amp;nbsp;
three Armenian courts for the events of March 1, 2008, but was then&amp;nbsp;
acquitted under strange circumstances by a decision of the European&amp;nbsp;
Court of Human Rights (ECHR). This was Kocharyan&amp;#39;s response to the&amp;nbsp;
Armenian prime minister&amp;#39;s accusations against him regarding the&amp;nbsp;
events of March 1, 2008.

Recall, on March 1, 2008, following the regular presidential&amp;nbsp;
elections held on February 19, which were won by Serzh Sargsyan,&amp;nbsp;
riots broke out in Yerevan, culminating in clashes with law&amp;nbsp;
enforcement officials. &amp;nbsp;The Armenian opposition, led by the first&amp;nbsp;
president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who also ran in the elections, held&amp;nbsp;
rallies in the center of Yerevan from February 20, expressing&amp;nbsp;
dissatisfaction with the results of the vote. The protests culminated&amp;nbsp;
in riots and clashes between protesters and law enforcement forces on&amp;nbsp;
March 1-2, resulting in the deaths of 10 people, including police&amp;nbsp;
officers, and over 200 injuries of varying severity. &amp;nbsp;On August 17,&amp;nbsp;
2018, Nikol Pashinyan announced that the case of the events of March&amp;nbsp;
1-2, 2008, in Yerevan had been fully resolved. However, to date, none&amp;nbsp;
of the responsible persons have been appropriately punished for that&amp;nbsp;
crime. The investigation into the case is still ongoing. The second&amp;nbsp;
president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and several high-ranking&amp;nbsp;
officials of that time are being charged with overthrowing the&amp;nbsp;
constitutional order. &amp;nbsp;It should be added that at that time,&amp;nbsp;
Pashinyan was an active supporter of the first president of Armenia,&amp;nbsp;
Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who de jure lost the election, but he claimed&amp;nbsp;
that the election results were falsified. &amp;nbsp;After the events of March&amp;nbsp;
1, 2008, Pashinyan was convicted of organizing mass riots and&amp;nbsp;
sentenced to seven years in prison, but was released after serving&amp;nbsp;
two years.&amp;nbsp;

          <title> Strong Armenia Party spokesperson: &amp;quot;We are prepared for any  development&amp;quot;</title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp;party is prepared for any scenario, according to a statement posted&amp;nbsp;on Facebook by the party&amp;#39;s spokesperson, Marianna Ghahramanyan. Her&amp;nbsp;remarks come in response to the pro-Western Republic Party, led by&amp;nbsp; Aram Sargsyan, submitting an application to the Central Electoral&amp;nbsp; Commission (CEC) demanding the annulment of Samvel Karapetyan&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp; &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot; bloc registration for the country&amp;#39;s upcoming&amp;nbsp; parliamentary elections on June 7.

The party spokesperson expressed her conviction that these actions&amp;nbsp; are driven by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan&amp;#39;s realization&amp;nbsp; that he is losing power.

&amp;quot;Pashinyan understands that he is losing power, which is why he has&amp;nbsp; resorted to a show organized by his satellite forces. The stronger we&amp;nbsp; become, the greater the fears of this small group grow. We are&amp;nbsp; prepared for all scenarios. All of this will be over in two days.&amp;nbsp; Pashinyan, who lost during the live broadcast on the Public&amp;nbsp; Television of Armenia, will soon lose the elections as well. A strong&amp;nbsp; Armenia is coming,&amp;quot; Ghahramanyan wrote.

Earlier, it was reported that the Central Election Commission would&amp;nbsp; review the submitted application at 10:00 PM. &amp;nbsp;

          <title>&amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot; unveils initiative to establish poverty alleviation  fund</title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp;party has introduced an initiative to establish a Poverty Alleviation&amp;nbsp;Fund, as announced by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp; political council, in a video published on his Facebook page.

According to Karapetyan, the fund will cover water and electricity&amp;nbsp; expenses for low-income families. &amp;quot;Not a single family in Armenia&amp;nbsp; will have to pay for electricity and water. These costs will be&amp;nbsp; covered by the Poverty Alleviation Fund, which will be financed by&amp;nbsp; our partners and representatives of the Armenian Diaspora. With this&amp;nbsp; step, we will permanently eradicate poverty in Armenia. People will&amp;nbsp; no longer be forced to spend their last remaining funds on these&amp;nbsp; utilities,&amp;quot; the political council member stated.

In turn, Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the &amp;quot;Strong Armenia&amp;quot; bloc,&amp;nbsp; stated that he guarantees the implementation of this program, as well&amp;nbsp; as all other economic initiatives presented by their political force&amp;nbsp; in recent months. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to the&amp;nbsp; Armenian people for their support throughout this period,&amp;nbsp; specifically acknowledging the tens of thousands of citizens who&amp;nbsp; gathered for the political force&amp;#39;s rally on June 3 at Republic Square&amp;nbsp; to campaign for the removal of the current administration. &amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;I appeal&amp;nbsp; to our people: give us five minutes of your time and come to the&amp;nbsp; polling stations, and we will give you a prosperous life and a strong&amp;nbsp; Armenia. You deserve a change,&amp;quot; Karapetyan concluded.&amp;nbsp;

          <title>Karekin II, Human Rights and Genocide Studies NGO  discuss violations  of Artsakh people rights </title>
		  <description>ArmInfo.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;His Holiness Karekin&amp;nbsp;II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received&amp;nbsp;representatives from the &amp;quot;Center for Human Rights and Genocide&amp;nbsp; Studies&amp;quot; non-governmental organization.

According to the press office of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC),&amp;nbsp; the meeting focused on the forced displacement of the Armenian&amp;nbsp; population of Artsakh, the violation of their fundamental rights, and&amp;nbsp; the ongoing encroachments on the spiritual and cultural heritage of&amp;nbsp; the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The interlocutors emphasized that&amp;nbsp; these events constitute yet another genocidal act committed against&amp;nbsp; the Armenian people, serving as a testament to the fact that impunity&amp;nbsp; for crimes against humanity and the lack of adequate international&amp;nbsp; condemnation pave the way for new tragedies.

During the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians also detailed the&amp;nbsp; initiatives undertaken by the AAC within Armenia and the Diaspora&amp;nbsp; toward the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian&amp;nbsp; Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. His Holiness underscored the vital&amp;nbsp; importance of these efforts in protecting the rights of nations and&amp;nbsp; preventing future crimes against humanity.

Furthermore, the parties discussed opportunities for the professional&amp;nbsp; engagement of clergy members in educational initiatives within the&amp;nbsp; field of genocide studies.
