


ArmInfo. Armenian Environment Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan and Bulgarian Minister of Environment and Water Resources Manol Genov hels a virtual meeting to discuss potential bilateral cooperation in environmental conservation and resource management.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Environment, Matevosyan outlined the country's priorities in preparation for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biodiversity (COP17), which Armenia is set to host this year, including key scheduled events and conference milestones. The Minister emphasized that the conference is an important platform for efforts to align regional actions with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The parties placed significant emphasis on the sustainable management of water resources and highlighted the necessity of integrating modern, water-saving technologies to preserve delicate ecosystems. In this regard, they noted the importance of exchanging experiences and promoting joint initiatives. At the end of the meeting, the ministers agreed to continue professional contacts and explore specific prospects for cooperation in the near future.
