ArmInfo. The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has summarized the results of its "Homeland Forever" fundraising campaign. A total of $17 million has been raised.
According to the fundraising press service, Aramayis Avetisyan, Assistant to the President of Armenia, and Deputy Directors of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Zaruhi Aznavuryan and Ararat Khlghatyan discussed the strategic significance of the campaign's target program, the reconstruction of the Spandaryan Canal, the campaign's new format and its nationwide reach, the fund's current ideological priorities, and its cooperation with the government. "We must honestly note that in the new reality that emerged after 2020, the foundation, like almost all organizations in this sector, was forced to refocus its activities on humanitarian issues. In recent years, a significant portion of the foundation's resources was directed toward supporting people in crisis situations. This was necessary, and as a result, the foundation temporarily departed from its classic, long-term, strategic development programs and acted according to a more reactive approach. Therefore, the current fundraising campaign was special and deeply symbolic for us. The recent stabilization has allowed the foundation to gradually return to its traditional mission - implementing strategic, sustainable development-oriented programs. The most striking example of this is the Spandaryan Canal reconstruction project," Avetisyan noted in his speech.
Zaruhi Aznavouryan, Acting Director of the Foundation, noted that this year's charitable campaign raised a total of approximately $17,000,668.22, which is approximately 30% higher than the average for recent years, demonstrating the pan-Armenian nature of the Foundation and the dynamic growth of trust in its mission.
"I would especially like to note that this year, the participation of organizations and individuals in Armenia has nearly doubled. In Armenia, the fundraising campaign was aimed at the reconstruction of the Spandaryan Canal, and several local bodies of the Foundation joined the project and contributed. I consider it necessary to inform you that, as in previous years, this year a portion of the funds raised by local bodies is being directed toward specific target programs," she noted.
The Foundation reported that to date, a total of 674.5 million drams has been raised in Armenia. The US chapter raised $7.5 million, the French chapter $4.4 million, the Toronto chapter $3 million, and chapters in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, and Australia raised a total of approximately $315,000.
