ArmInfo. Armenia is working on the implementation of the agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on a ceasefire in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict for humanitarian purposes. The Spokesperson of the RA Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan announced this on her Facebook page.
"Through all diplomatic channels, work is underway to implement the agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes," she wrote.
It should be noted that the day before, in Moscow on the 12th day of hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict, a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia took place. The meeting took place at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and lasted more than 10 hours, ending at about 3:00am Moscow time. As a result of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, with the mediation of Russia, the day before, an agreement was reached on a ceasefire, which was to enter into force at 12:00 on October 10.
However, minutes later, after the ceasefire came into force, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that ignoring the humanitarian ceasefire announced on October 10 from 12:00, Azerbaijani units launched an attack on the Karakhambeyli sector at 12:05pm, and Artsakh Defense Army units undertook appropriate measures to suppress enemy attacks. The fighting continued in other sectors of the front.
Minutes earlier, the Defense Army reported that the situation was relatively calm in all sectors of the front, except for Hadrut. In Hadrut, for the third hour, actions are being carried out to encircle and destroy the enemy sabotage group, which penetrated this zone before the ceasefire came into force.
