ArmInfo. The leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union countries have adopted a statement on Armenia's continued participation in the community. It was handed over to Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, according to Yuri Ushakov, Aide to the Russian President.
"The statement of the four leaders has been accepted," he said, as reported by TASS, specifying that Grigoryan would deliver the document to Yerevan. Ushakov added that the statement would be published on the Kremlin website. "The Deputy Prime Minister, I believe, has a positive attitude. He's a reasonable, intelligent person; he understands everything perfectly well," he noted commenting on Grigoryan's attitude.
On May 27, Ushakov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and other EAEU leaders would discuss Yerevan's intentions to join the European Union during the bloc's summit in Astana. He added that these plans inevitably cause concern among the countries that cooperate with Armenia within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
