ArmInfo. Approximately 80% of Israeli society who speak out on this issue believes the country should have recognized the Armenian Genocide long ago. Armenian Ambassador to Israel Arman Hakobyan  made this  statement in an interview with Israel's Channel 9.

ArmInfo.  According to a press release from the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, during H1 2026, as a result of public outreach campaigns conducted by police officers, 912 firearms of various types were voluntarily surrendered,  which is 101 units more than in the same period last year.

ArmInfo.  The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has sent seven reports to investigative bodies regarding alleged crimes committed by police  officers. This was reported in a statement by the Ministry of  Internal Affairs' press service.

ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has forwarded the case materials and the approved indictment to the Yerevan Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction against the late Hayk Harutyunyan, former Chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, who held the position from 2003 to May 2008.

ArmInfo. On July 31, 37-year-old Begench Ch., a Turkmen citizen, died on the 55th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway in the Gegharkunik region.

ArmInfo. The Internal Security Attache for the South Caucasus of the French Republic, stationed in Tbilisi, Olivier Lefebvre, has been awarded a medal by  Armenia's Minister of Internal Affairs for his contribution to the  development and strengthening of cooperation between the interior  ministries of Armenia and France, as well as for supporting joint  programs.

ArmInfo.  The number of serious crimes decreased in the Shirak Region in the first half of  2026, while the number of particularly serious crimes increased, as  reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal  Affairs.  Citing the head of the Shirak Provincial Department of the  Criminal Police, the agency presented the dynamics of specific types  of crimes for the reporting period.

ArmInfo.  During a meeting with Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan, U.S. Charge  d'Affaires David Allen reaffirmed the U.S. side's readiness to  continue supporting initiatives aimed at developing the country's  cybersecurity capacity.  According to the Armenian Interior  Ministry's press service, the parties discussed legislative changes  in cybersecurity and opportunities for developing professional  skills. It was noted that the procurement process to replenish  the  cyber laboratory with the support of American partners, is nearing  completion.

ArmInfo.  A protest is taking place outside the Arinj Mall shopping center, owned by the arrested leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Gagik Tsarukyan. Law enforcement officers have sealed off some of the mall's pavilions.

ArmInfo.  Ashot Zakaryan, Chief of the Military Police of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, received  a delegation led by Shalva Shengelia, Head of the Military Police  Department of the Georgian Defense Forces, who was in Armenia on a  three-day visit to exchange experiences and develop cooperation in  the field of military policing.

ArmInfo.  The Shirak Regional Court of General Jurisdiction has convicted investigative journalist Lilit Aghekyan. The defense intends to appeal the verdict. This was  announced by the journalist's lawyer, Zaruhi Postanjyan. "On July 14,  2026, Judge Varsenik Melkonyan of the First Instance Court of General  Jurisdiction of the Shirak Region of the Republic of Armenia  convicted investigative journalist Lilit Aghekyan.
