ArmInfo.  Today, Russian-Armenian relations have reached a stage of reassessment and adaptation to changing global and regional realities, as stated by  the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergei Kopyrkin, during a formal reception marking Russia Day on June 12.

ArmInfo.  The violations recorded during the regular parliamentary elections in Armenia are sufficient to declare them illegitimate, as stated by Armenia's  second president, leader of the "Armenia" bloc, Robert Kocharyan,  speaking to journalists.

ArmInfo.  An Armenian court has extended the pretrial detention of Captain Yeghishe Hakobyan, a defendant in the case involving the fatal fire at a military barracks in Azat village, for an additional three months. The ruling was handed down during today's session by Judge Vardan Harutyunyan, the  Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of the Gegharkunik  Region.  "Having heard the arguments from both sides, the court has  decided to extend the detention of the accused, Yeghishe Hakobyan,  for another three months," the judge announced during the hearing.

ArmInfo.  The "Wings of Unity" party intends to file a petition with the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) demanding that the recent parliamentary elections in Armenia be declared invalid.

ArmInfo.  Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the opposition "Armenia" parliamentary faction and former Minister of Defense, is currently on medical leave, and a corresponding medical certificate has been submitted to the court. Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the "Armenia" faction, told ArmInfo.  He also stated that it turned out that the government's recent decision  had been a misrepresentation of the required form for medical  certificate. Consequently, the medical note submitted by Ohanyan's  defense attorney did not comply with the new form.

ArmInfo. The 33rd meeting of the Advisory Council of the Heads of Consular Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS Member States was held in Minsk under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, with the Armenian  delegation participating via videoconference.

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia has announced the detainment of political scientist Alen Ghevondyan, who faces charges of "calling for the seizure of power and the overthrow of the constitutional order via social media."

ArmInfo. To achieve sustainable urban development, it is necessary to expand mechanisms for resident participation in decision-making and to foster a culture of healthy, constructive dialogue, as stated by Alen Amirkhanian,  Director of the Acopian Center for the Environment, during a panel  discussion  "Nordic Solutions for Smart Cities Ahead of COP17" held  as part of the Nordic Days festival.

ArmInfo.  An earthquake has struck Azerbaijan, with tremors also being felt in neighboring Armenia, according to the Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

They face the harshest punishment prescribed by law," said Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan  at a briefing, referring to alleged cases of voter bribery by the opposition. "I am  clearly saying that no matter what happens to them, they should  prepare well," Avinyan said.

ArmInfo.  The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia reported that the 12th Territorial Electoral Commission has invalidated the voting results of polling station No. 12/13.

ArmInfo. The "Strong Armenia" bloc, led by Samvel Karapetyan, has proposed that the Armenian authorities either hold a second-round runoff or call new  parliamentary elections. The bloc's leader, Samvel Karapetyan, made  this statement to journalists on June 12 outside a courthouse.

ArmInfo.The participation of Russian-Armenians in Armenia's electoral processes is the focus of the country's law enforcement system. RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan told reporters on June 12, responding to a question about how many Russian-Armenians participated in the nationwide vote.

ArmInfo. Narek Karapetyan, a member of the board of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, was prevented from leaving Armenia. He announced this on his Facebook page.  Karapetyan explained that today, together with a film crew from the Armat Media website, he was supposed to be on the Georgian military road leading  to Russia, better known as "Upper Lars," and go live from there. 

ArmInfo. The incident in the village of Orgov, involving the discovery of drugs in a 12-year-old schoolboy, is deeply concerning. RA Minister of Internal Affairs  Arpine Sargsyan told reporters on June 12.

ArmInfo.The Central Electoral Commission's (CEC) decision to annul the voting results at polling stations where the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) received the most votes is nothing less than direct interference in the electoral  process, calling into question the legitimacy of the upcoming  parliamentary elections. PAP spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan stated this  at a press conference in Yerevan on June 12.
