A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Levon Vartan Der Bedrossian, under which the philanthropist intends to transfer to the Republic of Armenia real estate he owns in the community of Garni, Kotayk region, as well as his personal collection, in order to establish a carpet museum in Armenia.

On July 27, 2026, the Lori Regional Center of the Food Safety Supervision Authority received a verbal report of food poisoning. A large wedding was taking place at the Lori Peak restaurant in the village of Chochkan.
