ArmInfo.  In the first half of 2026, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reviewed 1,794 criminal cases of domestic violence (1,482 in 2025), of which 712 were  postponed from 2025, and 1,082 were accepted for review during 2026.  This was stated in a statement by the agency.

ArmInfo.The international Docomomo has condemned the initiative of organization the Armenian government to remove the old building of the Zvartnots airport from the State List of Immovable Historical and Cultural  Monuments of Yerevan and terminate its legal status as an object  subject to protection, as noted in the statement issued by the  Armenian representative office of Docomomo, which is engaged in  documenting and preserving the heritage of architectural modernism of  the 20th century.

ArmInfo.  As part of the 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence, RA diplomatic missions abroad plan to hold a series of events, the total cost of which, according  to preliminary estimates, will be approximately $1 million.

ArmInfo. Ownership of a 51.9-square-meter property and a 0.082262-hectare land plot located on Aghayan Street in the Kentron community of Yerevan has been  returned to the Republic of Armenia. By decision of the RA Government  dated August 6, this property has been transferred to the State  Property Management Committee.

ArmInfo.  The National Assembly of Armenia observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Yazidi Genocide in Sinjar. This initiative was  introduced by Rustam Bakoyan, a member of parliament from the ruling  Civil Contract faction, at the first session of the 9th National  Assembly 

ArmInfo.  Hayk Mamijanyan, former deputy of the RA National Assembly,  has announced that he will attend the Etchmiadzin court on August 7 at 4:00 PM,  where a hearing is scheduled for the case of the Catholicos of All  Armenians.  In a statement on his Facebook page, Mamijanyan called  the current situation a national disgrace, for which RA Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan is responsible.

ArmInfo.Green Rock and Hyatt Hotels Corporation have signed an agreement to introduce the internationally renowned premium hotel brand Hyatt Regency Dilijan to Armenia. The hotel will become the first Hyatt Regency property in the country and will be developed in Dilijan.

ArmInfo. A new case of food poisoning at a public catering facility has been identified in Armenia's Lori Province. On July 27, 2026, the Lori Regional Center of the Food Safety Supervision Authority received a verbal report of food poisoning. A large wedding was taking place at the Lori Peak restaurant in the village of Chochkan.

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office is demanding the confiscation of 22 real estate properties from the second president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and persons associated with him, 19 of which have an average market value of AMD 11,154,790,000, as noted in a statement issued by the supervisory body.

ArmInfo. During the first half of 2026, a total of AMD 6,666,631,000  was returned to the recovered funds and single taxpayer accounts through criminal proceedings, according to the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

ArmInfo.  The number of serious crimes decreased in the Shirak Region in the first half of  2026, while the number of particularly serious crimes increased, as  reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal  Affairs.  Citing the head of the Shirak Provincial Department of the  Criminal Police, the agency presented the dynamics of specific types  of crimes for the reporting period.
