ArmInfo. The court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan granted the petition of the  prosecutor's office to apply a measure of restraint in the form of  arrest for a businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan for at least two months.

By the decision of  the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash  districts of Yerevan on September 17, six members of the armed group  Khachik Avetisyan, Vladimir Arakelyan, Arthur Yeghiazaryan, Vaginak  Stepanyan, Ara Poghosyan and Vahagn Sanazaryan, who were rendered  harmless in Yerevan, were released.

ArmInfo.The condition of the 49-year-old citizen A.P. who committed self-immolation on September 9 in front of the building of the Armenian government  remains critical.

ArmInfo. During the events of March 1-2, 2008, the current Chief of the Armenian Police Valery Osipyan saw that the demonstrators had sticks, but not firearms. He stated this in an interview with journalists. According to him, a large number of police officers were involved in the March 1-2 operation, but one can not unequivocally assert that one of them exceeded his official duties and committed a criminal offense.

ArmInfo. Former President Robert  Kocharian returned to Armenia in the hope that "the judicial and  legal system is not completely jammed under the executive power." He  stated this in an exclusive interview with NTV regarding the reasons  for his return to Armenia.

ArmInfo.Argentinean businessman of Armenian origin Eduardo Ernekian plans to implement the project of a new business center in Yerevan, which will be located in the former building of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. On this July 9, Argentine  Ambassador to Armenia Gonzalo Urriolabeiti told journalists. At the  same time, he refrained from specifying the estimated amount of  investments and possible terms of construction.

ArmInfo. Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has reopened the criminal case on infliction of serious bodily injury out of negligence.

In connection with the investigation of the events from 1 to 2 March 2008 in Armenia, on June 3, a criminal case was instituted against the Minister of Defense and other persons for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order in Armenia from February 23 to March 1. This was reported by the press service of the Special Investigation Service.
