ArmInfo.The first preliminary court hearing in the criminal case against Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II is scheduled for 4:00 PM on August 7 and  will take place in Etchmiadzin (15 St. Gregory the Illuminator  Street, Courtroom 1). Lawyer Ara Zohrabyan announced this on his  Facebook page.

ArmInfo. The parliamentary opposition should take the initiative to establish two investigative commissions in the National Assembly of Armenia: one on political  prisoners and another to investigate the abuse of state resources.  This proposal was addressed to the opposition by Armen Ashotyan, Vice  Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), writing from the  Vardashen penitentiary.

ArmInfo.  Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan, even before assuming his duties as Speaker of the Parliament, has already decided to restrict  the professional activities of the media in the country's legislative  body. ArmInfo.Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia bloc's political council, will give up his parliamentary salary in favor of charitable contributions. He announced this in a conversation with journalists on July 24.

ArmInfo.During a hearing at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on July 23, Judge Karen Farkhoyan changed the preventive measure for Igor Sargsyan, supporter of the "Sacred Struggle" movement and member of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun, from house arrest with to administrative supervision.

ArmInfo.  The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, in collaboration with Green Rock, will hold an open-air concert in Dilijan. This musical evening,  taking place on July 22 at 7:00 PM next to the Dilijan city pond,  will be dedicated to the city and its residents. The program will  feature works by one of the most beloved Armenian composers, Arno  Babajanyan.

ArmInfo.  Gohar Meloyan, a member of the Strong Armenia party board and legal expert, pointed out  contradictions in the Central Election Commission's (CEC) decisions  regarding the case of Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong  Armenia bloc's political council.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has submitted a petition to the Central Election Commission (CEC) seeking to strip Narek Karapetyan, a  political council member of the "Strong Armenia" alliance, of his  immunity, as stated by by Aram Vardevanyan, an attorney and  representative of the "Strong Armenia" alliance, to reporters outside  the CEC building. 

ArmInfo. On July 21, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia hosted a mandate-presentation ceremony for deputies of the country's  9th-convocation parliament, which was formed following the regular  parliamentary elections held on June 7.

ArmInfo. Employees of the sealed enterprises owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, a well-known philanthropist, entrepreneur, and leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, are holding protest actions, demanding the resumption of  operations and the protection of their right to work.

ArmInfo.  Due to festive events marking the Vardavar religious holiday, roads will be temporarily closed in central Yerevan on July 12. The Yerevan Municipality  announced this.

ArmInfo. . After an hour of waiting, lawyers were allowed into the home of Prosperous Armenia Party leader and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, where law enforcement  is currently conducting searches. This was reported to journalists by  Tsarukyan's press secretary, Iveta Tonoyan, on July 6.

ArmInfo.  A new water supply schedule began in Yerevan on July 1.  According to Veolia Jur CJSC, for 2.5 months, most addresses in the capital will have water supplied on a  17- to 19-hour schedule, but some administrative districts will  continue to operate on a 24-hour schedule.
