ArmInfo.Armenia itself has recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. Therefore, it would be inappropriate for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to interfere in Baku's internal affairs, as pointed out by Russian President Vladimir Putin during talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by TASS.
The Russian leader noted that security issues related to Karabakh remain sensitive. "We know that you and your colleagues have had and continue to have questions and some grievances about the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the CSTO," Putin clarified. "I think it's obvious that, after you recognized in Prague in 2022 that Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan, it would be completely incorrect for the CSTO to interfere in this process, which has acquired an intra-Azerbaijani dimension," the Russian leader emphasized.
