
ArmInfo.The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) expert mission delegation, which plans to assess Armenia's draft Integrated State Border Management System strategic program.
According to the ministry's press service, the mission plans to identify existing gaps and provide relevant recommendations for implementing reforms in integrated border management in line with European and international standards. During the meeting with Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan, issues related to the draft integrated border management strategy and visa liberalization were discussed.
Representatives of the expert mission highly praised the cooperation with the Republic of Armenia, emphasizing the progress achieved in risk analysis, professional training, and international cooperation. They also shared their comments on the draft strategy, focusing on information exchange, human resource development, and professional training. The mission presented European experience in integrated border management. According to the source, meetings with other relevant agencies are planned during the visit. Following these meetings, the experts will present comprehensive recommendations.
