ArmInfo. The salaries of employees of guardianship and day care centers in Armenia, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, will be increased by 30%. RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced this in a video message on his Facebook page.
According to him, the changes will take effect on April 1, meaning that employees of these institutions will receive increased salaries as early as May.
"We have achieved this thanks to budget discipline and effective management. And I, as Minister, expect you to do better work and put greater effort into serving our thousands of citizens, providing them with services and caring for them. Your working conditions are my priority, and I will do everything to gradually improve them," Torosyan stated. It should be noted that, according to independent experts and opposition figures, this salary increase for government employees is nothing more than an attempt to secure their votes in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.
It was previously announced that pensions in Armenia are planned to increase by 10,000 drams starting April 1.
