


ArmInfo.Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisogomonyan met with Elizabeth Spehar, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacebuilding and Peacekeeping, in New York. He briefed his interlocutor on the latest developments in the region, emphasizing the need to further strengthen and institutionalize the peace established in the South Caucasus.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on issues related to the maintenance of international peace and security, emphasizing the role of peacekeeping in this context.
Abisogomonyan spoke about Armenia's active participation in peacekeeping missions carried out within the framework of the UN and NATO in various regions of the world. The Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to supporting international peacekeeping efforts.
The interlocutors attached great importance to further deepening cooperation between Armenia and the UN, particularly within the framework of initiatives implemented in the areas of peacekeeping, peacebuilding, and development.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of resolving it and ensuring regional stability.
