Illegal structures adjacent to mansion of former RA Police Chief  Vladimir Gasparyan demolished on Lake Sevan

ArmInfo. Illegal structures adjacent to the mansion of former RA Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan have been demolished on Lake Sevan in Armenia. This was announced in a statement by the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the press service of the supervisory authority, on  December 30, 2025, the Prosecutor General's Office announced the  start of the dismantling of illegally constructed buildings and  structures on land plots along the shores of Lake Sevan. The  supervisory authority also announced that the demolition of illegal  structures will continue in 2026.

On February 2, 2026, the fence, concrete retaining walls, ramp, and  other structures near the mansion on Lake Sevan illegally built by  former RA Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan were dismantled (in the  lawsuit for confiscation of property of illegal origin, the  Prosecutor's Office, among other things, demands the confiscation of  this mansion from Vladimir Gasparyan).

Since December 2025, following the execution of petitions from the  Prosecutor's Office, approximately 40 buildings and structures  illegally constructed by various individuals have been dismantled,  and two contracts concluded by the Sevan National Park State  Non-Profit Organization (SNCO) on 14 land plots have been terminated.

It should be noted that in addition to the aforementioned petitions,  the Ministry of Environment and the Sevan National Park State  Non-Profit Organization (SNCO) received eight more petitions from the  Prosecutor General's Office's Department for the Protection of State  Interests during 2025. The above- mentioned petitions concern the  following properties: the mansion illegally built by former Chief of  Police Vladimir Gasparyan (address: 97 1 Street, Drakhtik Community),  the Harsnakar Hotel Complex, and the mansion illegally built by Ruben  Hayrapetyan, former President of the Football Federation and former  Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (address:  38 3 Street, Sevan Recreation Area); the mansion illegally built by  Seyran Ohanyan, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia  (address: 71 1 Street, Drakhtik Community); and the illegally built  mansion belonging to Arman Hakobjanyan, Chairman of the Board of  Kapavor LLC (address: 88 1 Street, Drakhtik Community).

Following an investigation conducted by the Prosecutor General's  Office within the scope of its authority to initiate proceedings to  protect state interests, reports of the crime were sent to  investigative bodies, and a criminal case was initiated.
