All vehicles to be equipped with video recording devices during  driver`s license exams - Ministry of Internal Affairs

ArmInfo.  To ensure a more transparent and objective environment during driver's license exams at registration and examination departments, passenger cars will be equipped with modern video recording devices. Real-time video recording of both the interior and exterior of the examination  vehicle will ensure comprehensive oversight and impartiality of the  exam process. This was stated in a statement by the press service of  the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the source, the technical equipment will also enable the  creation of a robust digital database with objective and irrefutable  evidence in the event of an appeal of exam results, eliminate  potential corruption risks, and ensure that the assessment of each  citizen's driving skills is conducted exclusively in accordance with  established standards and is free from any subjective approach.  Furthermore, the video recording devices, by providing a documented  record, are also aimed at protecting the interests of agency  employees. This process, the statement notes, is aimed not only at  improving the quality of services provided, but also at ensuring an  accountable and transparent environment and building trust among the  population. "The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to  monitor the quality of services provided, analyzing and evaluating  citizens' opinions and suggestions, and taking active steps to  improve them," the statement emphasizes.

Yesterday, during Government Hour in the National Assembly, RA  Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, responding to  opposition criticism regarding the workload of registration and  examination units, announced that a review of the service delivery  models for these units is planned for this year. These changes will  create more favorable conditions in this area. This applies to both  the infrastructure and the content of the driver's license exams.  Sargsyan stated that an educational component is planned to be  introduced, and the theoretical and practical parts of the exam will  be rethought.
