Armenian Formula 1 driver takes third place in junior karting

ArmInfo.  On January 3 and 4, the legendary Formula 1 Yas Marina Circuit (Abu Dhabi) hosted the 6th and 7th rounds of the IAME UAE Championship. This international  karting series, sponsored by IAME (Italian American Motor  Engineering), brings together the strongest young drivers from the  Middle East and Europe.

Young Armenian driver Robert Ohanyan confidently competed in both  race weekends, finishing third in each round, twice reaching the  podium in one of the most competitive junior karting championships.  In Round 7, Robert held a strong second place throughout the race,  but due to penalties incurred at the end of the race, he lost second  place in the overall standings, finishing third.

His participation and consistent podium results at IAME UAE marked an  important milestone in his international development and confirmed  the competitiveness of Armenian drivers on world-class tracks.
