ArmInfo. Two working groups will be created in Armenia to address air pollution and traffic congestion in Yerevan, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting on November 27.
"Considering the recent discussions on this topic in social media, the press, and society, along with my own observations, I have concluded that two working groups need to be created by decision of the Prime Minister. I am instructing the Prime Minister's Office to prepare a proposal regarding their composition," the head of the Cabinet said.
According to him, the first working group will address air pollution issues, while the second will focus on traffic management and congestion.
In this work, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of accountability. "There must be accountability mechanisms that will periodically report to the public and me on the work accomplished," he said.
The working groups should be interdepartmental and include representatives not only from government agencies but also representatives from the Yerevan City Hall, members of civil society, and the expert community.
