


ArmInfo. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan received a delegation led by Rostov-on-Don Mayor Alexander Skryabin, as reported by the Yerevan Municipality press service.
According to the source, during the meeting, the Mayor of Rostov-on-Don noted the existence of opportunities for new areas of cooperation and the renewal of joint programs. In this regard, Avinyan emphasized the importance of defining clear priorities for further joint work as a first step toward expanding cooperation.
The Yerevan Mayor also assured his counterpart that the Armenian capital has made significant progress in various areas in recent years. Particularly, he touched on the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, the modernization and reform of the public transportation system, the use of modern digital tools, and the introduction of a unified GIS system aimed at improving management quality and public service provision. "Additionally, we are modernizing the infrastructure of educational and medical institutions to meet modern requirements, providing kindergartens and clinics with greater energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability," Avinyan added, reaffirming Yerevan's willingness to expand cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Skryabin emphasized the significant contribution of the Armenian community to strengthening bilateral relations. He also the mayor of Yerevan to pay a return visit to the southern capital of Russia.
