


ArmInfo.A memorial plaque was placed on the building at 13 Pushkin Street in Tbilisi, stating that the renowned Armenian sculptor and artist Yervand Kochar lived in this house from 1899 to 1922.
The plaque was installed at the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia (MESCS) as part of events commemorating the 125th anniversary of Kochar's birth.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Alfred Kocharyan, Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council Zurab Abashidze, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan, Director of the Yervand Kochar Museum and the artist's granddaughter Karine Kochar, as well as members of the Tbilisi City Council.
The commemorative plaque was installed with the support of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tbilisi city authorities, and the Armenian Embassy in Georgia.
