Pashinyan`s ally: Enclaves cannot be considered until  border  delimitation completed in relevant areas

ArmInfo.  The issue of enclaves cannot be considered until delimitation is completed in these areas, as stated  by Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Armenian Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee and MP from the ruling Civil Contract Party, to reporters at the National Assembly.

However, the MP was unable to say exactly when this process would be  completed. As Khandanyan noted, before all this can happen, Armenia  and Azerbaijan must conclude a state border treaty, which must then  be ratified. "Only after that will the countries be able to decide  how to handle the issue of enclaves," the MP added. He also mentioned  that if a territorial exchange is decided upon, it should be taken  into account that, according to Armenian law, such an exchange is  impossible without a referendum.

Regarding the conclusion of a peace treaty between Armenia and  Azerbaijan, the MP noted that the text of the document is already  ready, and they expect it to be signed in the near future. However,  he acknowledged that Baku is putting forward conditions, which,  according to Khandanyan, are unacceptable to the Armenian side.  Pashinyan's ally did not specify which conditions he was referring  to. Nevertheless, the MP assured that this is not a dead end and  expressed hope for support from his partners. "Through diplomatic  efforts and active negotiations, we will be able to sign a peace  treaty," Khandanyan concluded.
