


ArmInfo. In Armenia, teachers and contract service members can earn 700,000 drams ($1,800) or more, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a cabinet meeting on November 6, citing specific facts.
The prime minister recalled that currently, teachers and service members can increase their pay only based on the results of professional certification. For military personnel, the increase depends on the branch of service and a number of additional factors. According to him, as of September 2025, 2,118 teachers in Armenia earn 300,000-400,000 drams, 863 teachers receive 400,000-500,000 drams, 109 teachers receive 500,000-600,000 drams, 22 teachers receive 600,000-700,000 drams, and two teachers receive 700,000 drams or more.
As for military personnel (the size of the increase depends on the branch of service and a number of other factors), 244 contract soldiers currently receive between 600,000 and 700,000 drams, 523 between 500,000 and 600,000 drams, approximately 1,156 between 400,000 and 500,000 drams, and 1,559 between 300,000 and 400,000 drams. Thirty-one contract servicemen with the rank of private receive 700,000 drams or more.
The Prime Minister announced that a new round of teacher certification will begin on November 8. More than 8,000 teachers out of 30,000 have already applied for certification.
