


ArmInfo. The Armenian government approved the reorganization of the Museum of Friendship between the Armenian and Russian Peoples by merging it with the National Gallery of Armenia, creating a branch called the Museum of Socialist Cultures, during its regular meeting On October 2.
As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the Museum, being a branch of the National Gallery of Armenia, is to be transformed into the Museum of Socialist Cultures. The museum's main goal will be to explore the formation and development of socialist culture through visual arts, design, film, and architecture, as well as a thematically rotating permanent exhibition.
Specifically, the museum will present pivotal moments in the development of Soviet culture through innovative and analytical combinations of works of art, household objects, audiovisual materials, fashion, and architecture. . The reorganization will only involve changes in management and name, with the museum continuing to operate in its current location as a branch of the National Gallery of Armenia.
