The lawyer noted that in the conditions of Samvel Karapetyan's  unlawful detention, especially when on August 14  the investigative  team presented its argument  to the court for the necessity of active  measures, he filed a motion for the conduct of these "active  measures" or  a face-to-face confrontation with the businessman. "By  the way, another legal absurdity is that we are acting as  intermediaries in this. I received a resolution from the investigator  stating that a face-to-face confrontation was unnecessary, and that  the data on the actions taken (which is missing) was submitted on  August 14, 2025, along with a petition to extend the detention  period, that is, before the detention period was extended. As a  result, Samvel Karapetyan's detention was prolonged for the conduct  of active measures, and he has already been in custody for over 90  days. However, according to the investigation, there is no need for a  face-to-face confrontation. That is, there is no evidence to support  the case, and the "information about active measures" was submitted  before the detention period was extended.
