Armenian Church`s vision of justice, dignity, peace and democratic  values presented in Denmark

ArmInfo. From September 15-17, the regular Conference of European Churches (CEC) was held in Nyborg, Denmark, under the title "Towards Christian Citizenship in Europe." Armenia was represented at the event by Bishop Tiran Petrossian, Patriarchal Delegate for Central Europe and Scandinavia. This was reported by the Chancellery of the Mother See of Holy  Etchmiadzin.

According to the source, the conference was organized by the National  Council of Christian Churches of Denmark in close cooperation with  the Conference of European Churches. Representatives of national  church councils in Europe and member churches of the CEC  participated. The important issue of developing and strengthening  Christian citizenship in the context of contemporary Europe was the  subject of in-depth discussion. Bishop Tigran Petrosyan delivered a  paper at the conference entitled "Towards Christian Citizenship in  Europe: Reflections from Armenia," in which he presented the Armenian  Church's rich experience and vision in promoting justice, dignity,  peace, and democratic values.

The choice of venue for the meeting was also symbolic: Nyborg is one  of the important centers of the Danish Reformation, where the  peacemaking initiatives of the Conference of European Churches began  in 1959.

The goal of this meeting in Nyborg was to strengthen cooperation  among European churches, give new impetus to their mission in the  face of contemporary challenges, and promote the understanding and  practice of Christian citizenship based on the principles of justice,  freedom, and dignity.
