ArmInfo. No citizen of Armenia should be deprived of the opportunity to maintain health due to the absence or lack of money. This is stated in the message of the president of the Tashir Group of Companies, businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan.
According to him, the In Our Own Way movement has set various priority issues for itself, including the protection of spiritual values, the formation of a new economy, the rapid creation of numerous jobs, the dynamic development of agriculture, etc.
"Preserving the traditional Armenian family and ensuring its well-being are the key to these problems. There is no greater success for the people and the state than large families. They must have appropriate living conditions, and their children must be healthy, educated and ready to build a good future for the country. Unfortunately, there are too few such families in today's Armenia, the demographic indicators are catastrophic, and we must do everything possible to get out of this dangerous situation. First, our young families must be healthy and have the opportunity to monitor their reproductive health or health in general without spending the family budget. The state is obliged and must provide such an opportunity without any restrictions. It must, together with its parents, take care of every Armenian born, which will seriously increase the birth rate. Young families must have the opportunity to improve their living conditions, and the state must play a serious role here. Our young parents must enjoy various privileges when hiring or hiring. Finally, our elderly must have the opportunity to restore their health without harming the family budget of their children. No citizen of Armenia should be deprived of the opportunity to maintain health due to the absence or lack of money. We already have experience in developing and implementing such projects on a smaller scale. The movement is making appropriate efforts to find fundamental solutions to all these problems and implement them in the near future," Samvel Karapetyan said in his communication.
Samvel Karapetyan was detained on the night of June 18 in Yerevan by Armenian law enforcement agencies after he expressed support for the Armenian Apostolic Church. This was followed by open threats from the Prime Minister. On the night of June 19, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction arrested Samvel Karapetyan for two months. He is being held in the Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary Institution (the famous "KGB basement" in the building of the National Security Service of Armenia). He is accused of publicly calling for the seizure of power in the country. Karapetyan does not admit guilt. In addition, in July, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies was charged with new charges of money laundering.
On August 15, after almost 10 hours of considering the investigator's petition, the Anti- Corruption Court extended the businessman's arrest.
