Armenian authorities agreed to Azerbaijan`s demands, without Artsakh  and Lachin corridor - politician 

ArmInfo.  With the declaration signed in Washington between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the mediation of the United States, the Armenian side fully accepted all  of Azerbaijan's demands, but without Artsakh and without the Lachin  corridor. This was written on his Facebook page by the leader of the  Bright Armenia party, former Ambassador-at-Large Edmon Marukyan.

He drew attention to the fact that in order to justify their actions,  the authorities are trying in every possible way to convince the  people that Azerbaijan had previously demanded an extraterritorial  corridor from Armenia, which they did not provide. As an example, he  cited the statement of the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament Ruben  Rubinyan, who, in particular, noted: "There will be no  extraterritorial corridor, and this is the end of the matter. Until  now, when Azerbaijan said "corridor", it meant an extraterritorial  corridor, and when US President Donald Trump said "corridor", he  meant something else. A declaration has been signed that excludes the  existence of an extraterritorial corridor."

In this vein, Marukyan recalled that when the Armenian authorities  spoke out against the corridor logic, Russian officials (Russian  officials did not say this - ed.) and Azerbaijani officials responded  that within the framework of the agreements reached, the issue of  sovereignty or territorial integrity no longer existed. As the party  leader explained, Azerbaijan's position was that there should be a  "corridor" on the recognized territory of Armenia, but without  Armenian control over this communication, and those who pass through  it should have nothing to do with Armenian services and Armenian  border guards.

"This is another lie that the authorities are presenting to our  people. In Washington, the authorities gave everything that  Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev demanded, just without Artsakh,  without the Lachin corridor and absolutely without any control, with  cold calculation, without demanding anything in return and with only  one goal - to try to get re-elected in 2026. But there will be no  "corridor", and you will not be re-elected," Marukyan summed up.

On August 8, a trilateral meeting of the leaders of the United  States, Armenia and Azerbaijan was held at the White House. During  this meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President  Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint  declaration aimed at resolving the conflict between Yerevan and Baku.  Meanwhile, independent experts are inclined to believe that the  "Trump Bridge" is nothing more than a simple replacement name for the  so-called "Zangezur Corridor", which will threaten the Syunik region  of Armenia and the territorial integrity of the country.
