


ArmInfo. The office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Yekaterinburg has ceased its work. This was stated in a message in the republic's channel "Consulate in Yekaterinburg" in WhatsApp.
"Dear citizens, in connection with the suspension of the status of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Yekaterinburg Narek Spartakyan, we are forced to inform you that the office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Yekaterinburg has ceased its work. Over the past seven years, more than 57,000 citizens have contacted us," the message says.
A similar announcement appeared in the telegram channel "Armenians of the Chelyabinsk Region". The community organization reported that the office ceased its work after 7 years of successfully providing assistance to compatriots. They recommended that from now on all questions be addressed to other consular offices of Armenia in Russia.
The Honorary Consul of Armenia in Yekaterinburg Narek Spartakyan was removed from his post in early August. However, earlier this year Spartakyan announced that he was forced to resign due to his position on the situation around the AAC.
