According to the report of the territorial seismic protection service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred on August 16 at 08:31 local time, 30 km from the Azerbaijani city of Tovuz. At the epicenter, the strength of the tremors was 4-5 points. An earthquake with a magnitude of 2-3 points was felt in the villages of Voskevan, Artsvaberd, Nerkin Karmir Akhbyur, Aygedzor and Chinari in the Tavush region of Armenia.
