Olivier Decottignies: France`s mobilization for Artsakh refugees  continues unabated

ArmInfo. France's mobilization for Artsakh refugees continues unabated. According to the French Embassy in Armenia, this was stated in the statement of the head of the French diplomatic corps in Armenia, Olivier  Decottignies, published after visiting the "1000 years of Armenian music" charity concert in Paris.

The event was organized by the Blue Cross of the Armenians of France  (La Croix Bleue des Armeniens de France).

"This journey through thousands of years of Armenian music  demonstrates that it is impossible to erase a people and its  culture," the Ambassador emphasized.

The event took place in the - Gavo concert hall (Salle Gaveau) in  Paris.

Established in 1928 in France,  a Croix Bleue des Armeniens de France  is a non-governmental public women's charitable organization engaged  in humanitarian and social activities in the Armenian Diaspora of  France, as well as in Armenia and previously in Nagorno-Karabakh. 

According to the latest data, it has about 500 members in 35 cities  of France. Since 1986, the Blue Cross has been recognized in France  as a socially beneficial organization.

After Azerbaijan's large-scale military aggression against  Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, which was preceded by a 9-month  total blockade, around 109 thousand Artsakh residents were forcibly  displaced to Armenia. However, in general, as a result of Azerbaijani  aggression, starting with the 44- day Artsakh war of 2020, 150,000  Artsakh citizens have been left homeless.
