Armenia`s premier liar leader seeking to avoid responsibility - ANC 

ArmInfo. The demagogy and lies of Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan know no bounds, Levon  Zurabyan, Vice-Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), wrote on his Facebook account.  

He noted that for the second day in a row Pashinyan has been trying  to absolve himself of blame for recognizing Artsakh as part of  Azerbaijan. The deputy chairman of the ANC believes that in terms of  its catastrophic consequences for the Armenians of Artsakh, this step  is equivalent to the alliance of Melik Shahnazar with Panah Khan  against the Armenian meliks and will forever remain in history as one  of the two treacherous and fatal blows dealt to Artsakh.

"Realizing this reality, Pashinyan, with his special mental magic, is  trying to present the reality as if he, by signing the Prague  Declaration and accepting the Almaty Declaration as the basis for  resolving the Karabakh conflict, did not take any new steps. To prove  this desire, he makes two statements, namely, that Armenia signed and  ratified the Almaty Declaration in 1991-1992, thereby allegedly  recognizing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, and that in an interview  given in one of the Russian newspapers, the first President of the  Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan stated that the autonomy  status of Artsakh acceptable to him, thereby allegedly confirming the  Almaty Declaration as the basis for the recognition of Artsakh as  part of Azerbaijan," Zurabyan noted.

He added that since this nonsense has been circulating in the state  media of Armenia for the second day, there is a need to once again  remind about generally known facts. <Armenia signed and ratified the  declaration signed in Minsk between Russia, Ukraine and Belarus on  the creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Taking into  account the possible accession of Azerbaijan to the CIS, Armenia  ratified the above declaration with appropriate reservations, stating  that the principle of recognition of territorial integrity does not  apply to former autonomies that, in accordance with the legislation  of the USSR, declared their independence. This is the legal basis of  the Republic of Armenia, which is still in force today," the deputy  chairman of the ANC emphasized.

He recalled that Armenia did not ratify the Almaty Declaration, being  satisfied with the legal framework and obligations that arose as a  result of the signing and ratification of the Minsk Declaration.  <Ter- Petrosyan has never recognized the integrity of Azerbaijan as  the basis for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, consistently  vetoing attempts to mention Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan in  any OSCE document and rejecting any solution proposing such a  solution. In March 1992, Ter-Petrosyan told the Russian newspaper  Komsomolskaya Pravda that, in his opinion, full autonomy for  Nagorno-Karabakh could be "acceptable for both Karabakh and  Azerbaijan." Two months after this statement, we liberated Shushi.

Earlier, I explained that this military operation had already been  prepared and authorized, and the statement was made only as part of  the information support of the military operation. I understand that  it will be difficult for Nikolov's ignoramuses to understand the  content hidden especially under the expression "information support  for combat operations," but to say more I will have to reveal state  secrets, which, naturally, I will not do. In any case, such a thing  was never presented in diplomatic instances as the position of  Armenia and never formed the basis of our policy, moreover, it had  nothing to do with the Alma-Ata Declaration," Zurabyan noted.

He stated that Nikol Pashinyan's attempts at self-justification once  again expose the sad reality that we are dealing with a liar leader  whose only goal is to evade responsibility
