The need for a platform between the authorities and the opposition can be considered depleted: Levon-Ter Petrosyan comments on article published in pro-government daily

ArmInfo.  First president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, commented on the article published in the "personal/family media" of the prime minister, which he regarded  as "a negative response to the proposal to start a dialogue between  the opposition and the government."

Earlier today, with reference to a reliable source "details were  published regarding Baku's demands for negotiations with Yerevan" in  the Haykakan Zhamanak daily, the chief editor of which is the wife of  the head of the  RA government ". As noted in the article, Azerbaijan  put forward five main demands to Armenia: to dissolve the army of  Nagorno-Karabakh; recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan  without any autonomy, i.e. with zero status; corridor through the  territory of Armenia; the process of delimitation and demarcation of  the border according to the maps of 1919, 1920 (it is not yet known  which specific maps this applies to); clarification of the fate of  the missing Azerbaijanis with the intention to further accuse Armenia  of war crimes.

<The President highly appreciates the publication in the newspaper  for revealing Azerbaijan's demands regarding the expected settlement  of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. In fact, this is nothing more than  the Azerbaijani draft of the text of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace  treaty, the details of which, as noted in the interview of the first  president of the Republic of Armenia on September 26, were known only  to the prime minister and a narrow circle of people of the highest  echelon of power. Naturally, Armenia has prepared a similar project,  the details of which are not disclosed, and it is correct that they  are not disclosed for political reasons>, Arman Musinyan, press  secretary of the first president of Armenia, wrote on his Facebook  page.

According to the office of the first president, similar projects are  being prepared at the platforms of diplomatic contacts aimed at  regulating the Armenian-Turkish relations. In this case, of course,  no big surprises are expected, Musinyan notes. In this regard, in his  opinion, the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation agreement, in fact, will  not differ much from the Zurich protocols signed on October 10, 2009  between the Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Eduard Nalbandian  and Ahmet Davutoglu.

"Thus, it should be recorded that the need for the platform initiated  by the Catholicos of All Armenians between the authorities and the  opposition can be considered depleted, which, however, does not at  all diminish the persistent efforts of His Holiness, which, due to  the fact of the publication that is the reason for this reaction,  have already given their results. By the way, the First President of  Armenia considers it necessary to emphasize as well that a  significant event took place thanks to the initiative of His  Holiness. Since 1998, the first major political debate took place in  Armenia," Arman Musinyan concluded.

It should be reminded that on September 13, the day of Azerbaijan's  last attack on Armenia, the former vice-speaker of the National  Assembly Ishkhan Saghatelyan called on the former presidents and the  Catholicos to gather at the same table to propose ways out of the  current situation. On September 22, a meeting was held in the Mother  See of Holy Etchmiadzin with the participation of the Catholicos of  All Armenians, the former presidents of Artsakh and Armenia. The  meeting ended without a meaningful statement. Despite the  differences, the three former presidents of Armenia have publicly  expressed their readiness to continue the initiative of the  Catholicos of all Armenians. On September 30, the Mother See of Holy  Etchmiadzin reported that a new meeting was being prepared.
