Nikol Pashinyan spoke about what happened and what will happen

ArmInfo. On June 17, candidate for prime minister of Armenia from the ruling Civil Contract party Nikol Pashinyan, during a final rally on Republic Square in Yerevan, shared the successes of his government and his vision of the future of the  republic.

Thus, according to him, the future of Armenia stands on four pillars:  the first is security, the second is the economy, the third is about  rights and justice, and the fourth is the development of human  capital. They are all interconnected, and none can function in  isolation, he said.

The strategic idea of the development of the economy, as Pashinyan  explained, is that it should be based on science. The acting prime  minister recalled his early slogan "get rich and enrich", stressing  that the authorities will continue to adhere to this logic of action.  They will come to this, as the candidate for prime minister pointed  out, by developing the knowledge and skills of the individual and  business, developing infrastructures and actions in foreign policy  with expanding the potential for exports and investments.  For stable  development, as Pashinyan noted, Armenia should provide an average  GDP growth of 7% annually, and citizens should be happy to pay taxes,  since they will be spent on its needs.

Over the next 5 years, Pashinyan promises to build 2,600 km of roads,  start or complete the construction of 15 new reservoirs, provide rail  links with the Russian Federation, Iran, and "thus, with the whole  world." At the same time, he once again reminded that the authorities  will not discuss the "corridor logic", in this context, excluding  changes in the status of Armenia's sovereignty over any territory of  the republic.  According to him, the current government has very  clearly expressed its position - it is ready to unblock regional  communications only if equal conditions and opportunities are  provided to the parties, which is recorded in the Moscow statement of  January 11, 2021.

Armenia is determined to consistently move towards the implementation  of the agreements within the framework of this statement, he said. At  the same time, as the leader of the Civil Contract stressed, this is  hindered by the aggressive rhetoric of Baku, its unconstructive  statements, in particular, in terms of the consistent claims of the  President of Azerbaijan to the territorial integrity of Armenia and  the non-return of the Armenian prisoners held by Baku.

The situation at the Sotk-Khoznavar section, according to the acting  head of government must be resolved peacefully - by an equal  withdrawal of the Armed Forces of the two countries and the  deployment of Russian border guards on the line. Pashinyan once again  urged not to be afraid of delimitation - demarcation of borders,  noting that all civilized countries passed through this. He also  touched upon the Karabakh settlement, noting that despite a number of  statements, the issue is still open.  The acting Prime Minister also  touched upon the formation of a professional army, stressing that  there is no alternative to this, as well as reforms in the field of  science and education. According to acting Prime Minister,  epoch-making changes have already taken place in the field of science  in Armenia - funding for scientific research in 2020 increased by 1  billion 491 million drams.

Pashinyan said that after the rally he would go to public debates. He  invited all those who during these days threatened the  representatives of the ruling force and "brandished the scimitar".   Note that Nikol Pashinyan came to the rally accompanied by family  members. The acting prime minister is accompanied by his associates -  Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan, head of the  campaign headquarters of the ruling Civil Contract party Suren  Papikyan, head of the parliamentary faction "My Step" Lilit Makunts  and others.

Initially, the Civil Contract planned to hold a final rally on June  18. But, since a rally of the Hayastan bloc is scheduled for the same  day, Pashinyan decided to postpone the date of the final rally to  June 17. The ruling party plans to hold rallies in Yerevan for four  days in a row immediately after the early parliamentary elections on  June 20.

During the election campaign in Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia  administrative region on Monday, Nikol Pashinyan called on his  supporters to gather in Republic Square on June 21 to celebrate his  party's victory in the elections, which, according to him, will mark  another "revolution" in Armenia.  The municipal authorities of  Yerevan allowed the parties to simultaneously gather supporters in  the two largest squares of the capital from June 21 to 24. Each of  these rallies can start at 10 am and last until midnight. Neither  Nikol Pashinyan nor his associates explained the reasons for the  additional demonstrations in the following days.
