Pashinyan in the General Staff: In the future, the principle of  Military Forces  being apolitical  must be observed strictly

ArmInfo.. Prime Minister of RA Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ministry of Defense and introduced the newly appointed chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of  Artak Davtyan with the highest officer of the Armed Forces.

Thus, the press service of the prime minister notes that Pashinyan in  his speech representing Davtyan stated that, of course, there was no  need for this, since everyone was well known that it was he who will  change Gasparyan in the post of chief of the General Staff, but due  to the legislative nuances I had to do some time with this  appointment.

He also recalled that earlier Davtyan left the post of chief of the  General Staff for reasons that did not have anything to do with the  performance of official duties.

Pashinyan also stated that after that, Davtyan performed the  responsibilities of the Chairman of the Military Industrial  Committee, and during the war he was involved in the organization of  the  self-defense, adding that Lieutenant-General throughout the  period was not cut off from public affairs and had active involvement  in all processes.

In this regard, the RA Prime Minister, expressed the conviction that  Davtyan will continue to fulfill his mission at a high level, even  though she is not simple, since the country is experiencing extremely  difficult times and problems are more than serious.

"Task first: protect the army, protect the armed forces; the task of  the second: to conduct the necessary reforms in the armed forces,  which will strengthen, first of all, the Sun itself, the level of  protection of foreign security of Armenia and, of course, the trust  of all of us to the aircraft and security system," Said Pashinyan,  expressing the conviction that it would be necessary to solve the  problems arising, in the interests of Armenia.

At the same time, the head of the executive body once again stressed  that in 2018, when the head of the RA General Staff represented the  importance of the apoliticalness of the armed forces, which was  accomplished by a high level.

He recalled that in December 2018, early parliamentary elections were  held in the country and there was not a single signal, not a single  case involvement of the aircraft in political processes.

"This is very important, I am sure that in the future we will have  the same clear situation. And once again I want to repeat that the  events that occurred from February to this day, in many respects are  clear. I want to assure that no human, I did not leave the political  trace in me, but we must agree that in the future the principle of  apolitical Sun will be sacred. This is not necessary for me, it is  not necessary for the person and group of persons, this is an  important principle that is needed by the armed forces in the first  place.

We should not look back, another thing is that there are problems,  questions and the government should ensure the natural development of  the armed forces, we must all ensure, especially in this situation.   Armed forces, no matter how strange it sounded, should feel  protected, but on the other hand, we should not shy away from answers  to the questions set, because it we need to be in the first place.   Certain conclusions, of course, should be made, but they should not  be those in which, in my opinion, managed to convince a number of  respected representatives of our armed forces ", said Pashinyan.

In turn, Davtyan expressed confidence that the armed forces would not  participate in any political processes that are not provided for by  the Constitution or laws. "We hope that together we will be able to  solve all the problems that the armed forces are facing today," the  Davtyan summed up.

It is also worth noting that the lawyer Onik Gasparyan told Armenian  media, which will submit an application for a crime against Armenian  Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan. "The statement of the Prime Minister  means that he ignores the acts of the judiciary. The consequences of  the statement are both criminal law and criminal administrative. The  relevant crime statements will be sent to eligible authorities," said  the lawyer Arthur Ohannisyan, adding that the decision of the  Administrative Court necessarily for execution.

Recall that the Armenian Administrative Court adopted security  measures under the claim of the former chief of the General Staff of  the Sun Onik Gasparyan, who challenges the legality of his release  from office. In the decision published in datalex.am, it is noted  that the administrative court temporarily satisfied the lawsuit,  adopting security measures to recognize the liberation of Gasparyan  from the position of the law of the law not relevant to legal  relations before making a final decision by the court. This court  decision prohibits the appointment of the new head of the GSH Sun,  until the final decision is made by the administrative court.

Today, the Ra Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a statement, noting  that, given that the President of Armenia did not sign the draft  Decree on the appointment of Artak Davtyan to the post of  headquarters of the Sun headquarters and did not appeal to the  Constitutional Court, Position of the head of General Staff.
