


ArmInfo.Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan has visited the Police and the National Security Service in connection with cases of detention and summons of people. According to the Ombudsman's office, the necessary steps are being taken within the competence of the Defender.
To note, today 17 Armenian parties held a rally in Freedom Square demanding the resignation of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The Police considered the rally not sanctioned and began to disperse the participants in the protest movement. Thousands of civilians came to the Freedom Square. According to the latest data, 129 people have already been detained, including the leaders of a number of parties. Among the detainees are head of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan and Secretary of the Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov.
