ArmInfo. The State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has started preparations and is ready to implement humanitarian steps to exchange prisoners of war and bodies of the dead, in case of strict observance of the ceasefire by the Azerbaijani side and stability of the situation on the Line of Contact. This is stated in the statement of the Commission, published on the website of the Karabakh Defense Army.
"Taking into account the ceasefire announced on October 10 with the mediation of Russia in the zone of the Karabakh conflict for the exchange of prisoners of war, bodies of servicemen and civilians, the Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic expresses its readiness to implement humanitarian actions," the statement says.
The Commission stressed that the Command of the Defense Army of Karabakh ordered all units to cease hostilities from 12:00 on October 10, 2020.
It should be noted, however, that despite the fact that the cease-fire regime came into force, the Azerbaijani side continued the hostilities.
