ArmInfo.Armenian deputies are  concerned about the fate of Karen Ghazaryan who was captured in  Azerbaijan, who was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison for  attempting to commit a terrorist act.

As the Prosperous Armenia MP Aram Abovyan stated from the rostrum of  the parliament, Armenia should raise the issue related toArmenians in  Azerbaijani captivity, at all international platforms. He noted that  this is the only way to save them.

"The Azerbaijani side, using Armenian prisoners, will try to return  saboteurs who are in Artsakh (talking about Dilgam Askerov, Shahbaz  Guliyev, sentenced in Artsakh for killing an Armenian teenager and  sabotage, ed.). We must prevent the birth of new safar ramies. If we  want that all Armenian prisoners, including Karen Ghazaryan, returned  to Armenia, we must actively raise this issue at international sites,  "Abovian concluded.The question of the captive Kazaryan was also  raised by the deputies from "Enlightened Armenia" Sarkis Aleksanyan  and Varuzhan Babajanyan.Alexanyan, in particular, recalled that the  authorities at one time promised to do everything to return Kazarn to  their homeland. "They even asked to stop the protest actions that  began in Tavush (in Ghazaryan's homeland), assuring that the  government is doing everything possible to return it. As a result,  Ghazaryan was not returned, moreover, he was sentenced to 20 years in  prison. they will do everything possible to return Ghazaryan, the  protests will continue, "the deputy warned.

Varouzhan Babajanyan considered the condemnation of Ghazaryan in  captivity in Azerbaijan by the omission of Armenian diplomacy. "We  missed several important processes, the first, the condemnation of  Ghazaryan, and the second, the return of Talysh leader Fakhraddin  Abbasov by Russia to Azerbaijan. We were not even able to use this  process and receive any dividends," Babajanyan concluded.Note that  Abbasov, fleeing from the persecution of the Azerbaijani authorities,  fled to Russia, however, at the insistence of Baku, Moscow issued it  to Azerbaijan the other day.
