Echmiadzin residents continue to protest against the decision of the  court on the release of Manvel Grigoryan

ArmInfo.The residents of Echmiadzin the night before, after the court made a decision on the release of General Manvel Grigoryan, they blocked him from entering  the city, thus expressing their attitude towards Grigoryan. Protests  demanding re-arrest continued today.From early morning a group of  citizens blocked the central streets of Echmiadzin. 

They consider the decision of the court "political sabotage" against  the current government. As they said, if the. Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan is not competent to influence the justice system, they, as  citizens of the Republic of Armenia, can and should express their  position on the "illegal" measures of administration of justice.The  court of general jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan on the evening  of December 21 made a decision on release on bail of General Manvel  Grigoryan on bail of 25 million drams. Earlier, on June 16, the  deputy of the Armenian parliament from the RPA, General Manvel  Grigoryan, was detained by the National Security Service of Armenia. 

During searches, SNB operatives discovered and seized a large number  of weapons and ammunition. In addition, a large arsenal of  unregistered weapons, including mortars and rations for soldiers,  including those collected by schoolchildren, was discovered in the  mansion and in the dacha of the general. During the search of  Grigorian's mansion, three fleets with collections of modern  expensive cars, retro cars, motorcycles and snowmobiles were also  found. A number of SUVs were discovered, which were provided for in  the days of the four-day war for the Army of Defense and an  Ambulance. 

The Republican MP's holiday home also has its own zoo, home to a  tiger, bears, ostriches, and an equestrian club. According to the  NSS, on the basis of the data obtained, it became clear that the food  provided for the soldiers participating in the four-day April war,  Manvel Grigoryan used to feed the animals in his own zoo. He was  charged under two articlesfull: illicit trafficking in arms and  ammunition and the appropriation of food and supplies intended for  the Armed Forces.Meanwhile, at the end of November, the arrested  general appealed to the government, announcing his readiness to  transfer to the state the territory of the Ankalich bobrovodsky farm  belonging to him in the Aknalich community, costing about 6 billion  drams. Lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan urged not to consider this step as an  attempt to pay off. "The transfer of this property is Grigorian's  assistance to the state, which he has always been doing. This is not  an attempt to bribe the state, but its way of life," Mkrtchyan  stressed. "This is a gesture of a man who always gave the Motherland  more than he took. And this is done in order to shame the  investigative body of accusing the general of" stealing grain,  meanwhile he is ready to give whole bags of grain to the state "-  said the lawyer.
