Armenian Deputy FM with his Greek counterpart discussed prospects for  cooperation

ArmInfo.Political consultations took place between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Greece on December 17 in Athens, the press service of the Foreign  Ministry of Armenia reports.

According to the source, Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs  Giorgos Katrougalos received the delegation of Armenia, headed by  Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan. The interlocutors discussed a  wide range of issues of the Armenian-Greek bilateral political  agenda, exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening  cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, educational, cultural and  other fields.

Touching on the current stage and prospects of cooperation between  Armenia and the EU, Karen Nazaryan presented the process of  implementing the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement  prepared by the Government of Armenia, and stressed the importance of  early ratification of the agreement by the Greek legislative body.

The parties exchanged views on the beginning of a dialogue on the  liberalization of the visa regime in the EU, as well as on the  support of EU member states in this process. During the meeting, an  exchange of views took place on a number of regional and  international issues of mutual interest. At the request of the  interlocutor, Karen Nazaryan touched upon the latest developments in  connection with the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh  process. In his turn, Giorgos Katrougalos presented the position of  the Greek side on the Cyprus issue.

The parties also touched upon the cooperation of two friendly  countries in multilateral formats and in international structures.
