ArmInfo. The OSCE observation  mission believes that the early parliamentary elections were held in  free conditions and enjoyed the broad confidence of the people. OSCE  Short-Range Observer Special Coordinator Peter Osuski announced this  on December 10 at a press conference

According to him, during the election campaign, the political forces  that applied for participation in the elections were provided with  equal conditions for holding TV and online debates. Many observers,  as Osuski pointed out, have expressed a desire to see similar debates  in their own country.

According to Peter Osuski, during the election campaign and during  the voting period there were no cases of electoral bribes. There was  also no pressure on voters. "All procedures were carried out  according to the EC of Armenia," he stressed.

Nevertheless, according to the special coordinator, members of the  OSCE observation mission are concerned about the procedure for  financing the elections, which forms unequal conditions for the  participants in the process.

In general, as the representative of the mission pointed out, during  the election period in Armenia it was possible to form a positive  energy sector. "The government of Armenia needs to preserve this  energy sector and continue to use it to carry out reforms and ensure  democratic progress," said Peter Osuski.

As Osuski reminded, this is his 3rd observation mission in Armenia.  "The situation that has developed today can be described as follows:  if the Armenian driver who drove us to the polling stations  previously said that Armenia is in a hopeless state, today I see that  there is hope for Armenia", he concluded.
