Head of NSS: David Shahnazaryan did not provide any evidence to  substantiate his statements

ArmInfo.The head of the National Security Service of Armenia calls on all political and public figures who can attest to the allegations of conspiracy to  surrender Artsakh or part of its territories, to come to the National  Security Service and give a corresponding message.

"The fact that as of today David Shahnazaryan has not given explanations in connection  with the previously voiced statement about the conspiracy, indicates  the absence of any justification and that they were politically  motivated," Director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan  told reporters on December 9.

The head of the special service recalled that even on December 5, the  third number of the proportional list of the Republican Party, the  former head of the MNS, David Shahnazaryan, by invitation, was to  appear in the NSS to give explanations in connection with the  statements made earlier that the current government of Armenia  pursues the policy of "Artsakh an exchange for power ", and the  presentation of factual evidence confirming the truth of this  statement, as Shakhnazaryan himself promised.  As of December 9,  David Shahnazaryan has not come to the National Security Service and  has not provided any evidence in support of his statements, only  publicly calling them political persecution.  Nevertheless, Artur  Vanetsyan considers his compulsory invitation to the National  Security Service unreasonable, since the public statement did not  become official, supported by concrete facts. Thus, the society  itself will assess the words and actions of Shahnazaryan.

To recall, that former  head of the Armenian Security Ministry David  Shahnazaryan twice - on November 27 and December 4, at a press  conference stated that the current government of Armenia is  implementing the program "Artsakh in exchange for power", and the  words of the associate acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Sasun  Mikayelyan that the May Revolution is more important than the Artsakh  victory, should be considered in the context of this policy. "I  promise that you will be convinced of this. There are a lot of  things, but today I will not present all the facts confirming the  anti-Artsakh policy of the current authorities," he said.

The National Security Service reacted to the statements voiced by  Shahnazaryan, seeing in them "possible elements of state treason". On  December 5, Shahnazaryan was sent a notice to appear in the National  Security Service and give explanations, submit supporting documents  and other materials. Former member of Armenian Nationawide Movement,  who had unexpectedly moved to the RPA, refused to accept the  "invitation", considering it as political persecution.

Meanwhile, according to the Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan,  David Shahnazaryan accused the authorities of conspiring to surrender  Artsakh. "That is, he accused us of organizing a conspiracy against  Artsakh, and, in fact, against Armenia and the Armenian people," said  the Acting Head of Government.  Nikol Pashinyan stressed that after  such statements, the National Security Service, of course, should  prepare materials, and if it turns out that the revolution happened  in this way, then the conspirators should be identified, made public  and brought to justice. As Pashinyan pointed out, he, as the prime  minister of the country, is obliged to be on guard of national  interests. "There is a statement that in Armenia the government was  preparing or is preparing a conspiracy against Artsakh. And this is  an accusation of treason. If someone claims treason and does not come  to law enforcement agencies to report a crime, then he is a  charlatan,"  he said.
