In the NC of Armenia versed in a criminal case of abuse in the  municipality of Vagharshapat

ArmInfo.The Investigation Committee of Armenia deals with a criminal case on abuses committed in the Vagharshapat municipality and organizations operating under it.

As the press service of the UK informed ArmInfo, during the study of  the materials a number of irregularities in the management of the  economic entities of Vagharshapat were revealed. In particular, it  turned out that in the municipality of Vagharshapat (Echmiadzin) in  20015-18, the procurement process was carried out in violation of the  legal acts regulating the sphere, as a result of which agreements  were signed with some of the affiliated mayor's subsidiaries , in  some cases without appropriate arguments, were increased by 20%,  thereby causing serious damage to the municipality.

In the UK, it is noted that serious violations were also recorded  during the alienation of land through the sale at auctions, and the  land was sold 50% below the market price. "The relevant officials of  the municipality from 2013-2018 did not take appropriate measures to  provide permits and collect taxes for the sale of liquid fuel,  compressed natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas in the  municipality. In addition, abuses in the management process by  issuing gas to vehicles under the jurisdiction of the municipality.  As a result of selectively reassessing the cost of gas, it turned out  that the damage to the municipality as a result of the revaluation of  the volumes of ha and amounted to approximately 71,864,000 Armenian  drams, another 13.542 million drams - by exceeding its price ", -  reported in RA CS.  Also in the department revealed serious  violations during construction work in two music schools, where the  contract cost was overestimated by 20%. Moreover, they revealed cases  of illegal construction that were not stopped (5 cases).

In the UK also found that in the period from 2015-2018. In the  charity foundations Bnakkomunal and Barekargum a number of persons  were registered who did not come to work but received salaries, the  damage amounted to 590 million drams.

The SC informed that a criminal case was initiated on sonove of the  collected materials on grounds of paragraph 1 of paragraph 3 of  Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code., Part 1 and Article 2. 308 of  the RA Criminal Code and Art. 315.2 of the RA Criminal Code. The  ministry reported that a plan of action was developed for a  comprehensive and objective investigation of the case.

It should be noted that at that time the municipality was ruled by  Karen Grigoryan (the son of the Armenian MP from the RPA, the former  head of the "Yerkrapah" voluntary union Manvel Grigoryan - Ed.).  Karen Grigoryan left this post in June of this year. He is now in the  criminal case of embezzlement. His father, Manvel Grigoryan, is  accused of illegal possession of weapons and embezzlement of state  funds on a large scale. The son is on bail, and the father is under  arrest.
