Armen Rustamyan: John Bolton`s visit to the region is certainly very  important and promising

ArmInfo.The visit of US National Security Advisor John Bolton to the region is certainly very important and promising. This was stated on October 26 at the  briefings in the National Assembly of Armenia by the head of the ARF  "Dashnaktsutyun" faction Armen Rustamyan.

He stated that the South Caucasus region is of great geopolitical  importance, and all Bolton messages are important both for the region  and for Armenia. "Armenia should have a stable foreign policy course  and a clear position on a whole range of issues that both Moscow and  the West should understand," the MP said.

Rustamyan noted that Armenia should demonstrate to the world its  intentions to build relations with partners, proceeding from its own  interests. "Probably, in the USA they consider that Armenia does not  do anything except go beyond its own vital interests," the MP noted,  adding that Bolton perfectly understands that strained relations  between the United States, Russia and Iran can lead to very negative  the consequences. "I think that John Bolton does not want their  partners in the region to suffer because of the conflict between  these countries. This is also relevant for the Armenian side,"  Rustamyan stressed. The MP also stated that Russia is an important  strategic partner for Armenia and relations with it have no  alternative. 

To note the adviser to the US president on national security visited  Yerevan on the evening of October 24 Before this visit, Bolton  visited Moscow, and on the 24th in the morning he visited Baku .  After Yerevan, Bolton will visit Georgia.
