Hayk Marutyan: I voted for the bright future of Yerevan

Marutyan noted that the most important for him is well-being of  Yerevan. The candidate for mayor stated that the main problem of Yerevan at  the moment is the problem of garbage, which he intends to deal with.  Marutyan also noted that 14 years ago he had the opportunity to live  abroad, but all this time he lived in Yerevan, and will live here,  since he considers the capital of Armenia to be the best city on  earth.

To conduct elections today, from 08.00, all 475 polling stations  opened. Voting will last until 20.00. There are four blocs and eight  parties in the elections. According to the results of the vote, the  first number of the list of political force, which received more than  50% of the vote, automatically becomes the mayor of the capital of  Armenia. If none of the political forces collects more than 50% of  the votes, then all factions included in the Council of Elders are  entitled to nominate their candidate who must be elected by secret  ballot by a majority vote of the members of the Council consisting of  65 members.
