Nikol Pashinyan: Whether early elections to the parliament take place  or not - it`s  not up to me and not the RPA representatives to  decide, but to the citizens of Armenia

This was announced on  September 19 by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan in the capital's community of Malatia-Sebastia at the  pre-election rally of the "My step" block for the elections to the  Yerevan Council of Elders.  The Prime Minister noted that on April 2,  when the RPA members went against the will of the people and voted  against Pashinyan's candidacy, they themselves pronounced the death  sentence. "I want to note that on April 2 the Republican Party of  Armenia made a death sentence to itself, and despite the fact that  now they are claiming that they will soon take revenge, I want to  tell them that they, just as they did in their time Serzh Sargsyan,  incorrectly assess the political situation in the country, the RPA  representatives note that they do not consider it expedient to hold  early elections to the Parliament, but this is not decided by them,  but by the people, "Pashinyan stressed.

The prime minister noted that not all parliamentary factions like the  idea of early elections, moreover, the prime minister noted that many  factions like the RPA are now thinking about how to disrupt these  elections. "The political situation in Armenia can change only if the  people want it." The whole point, the whole significance of the  revolution is that you, the citizens of Armenia solved everything,  and we put your decisions into practice. "The RPA representatives  eagerly anticipated that through a few months our rating will fall,  and they will take revenge, however, their forecast not only failed,  but on the contrary the government's rating became even higher than  ever, "the prime minister said.

Pashinyan stressed that the citizens of the country saw - the new  government loves its people, and in no way tries to deceive it. "You  all saw that Armenia's interests are the most important for us, and I  want to stress that if you make a decision and want to deprive us of  power, we will obey unquestioningly," the prime minister stressed.  Pashinyan noted that he was repeatedly told that the change of power  can not be carried out without any negotiations with the security  forces, however, he and the residents of the country proved that this  is possible.  At the same time, the latter stressed that democracy  has been established in Armenia, but it should not be confused with  permissiveness. "Democracy presupposes the rule of law, we are all  equal before the law.In Armenia there should not be cars without  numbers, there should not be people who violate the rules of the  road.As long as I am the Prime Minister of Armenia, in our country  there will not be privileged Moreover, there will be no more  arbitrariness, permissiveness, there will be no more children of  officials who do not serve in the army, there will be no brothers of  heads of state who in a matter of minutes become millionaires, all in  the past. All who break the law will answer for it all severity, even  if they are members of my family, "the prime minister assured.

Pashinyan also noted that neither he nor his associates had ever  hoped for the support of the parliament.  "The only force on which we  rely, and whose support is important to us is our people." And on  September 23, it is you who decide what power you are getting in the  country and whoever does not recognize this power and the people's  authority tomorrow recognizes that he was not right, as it once was,  "the prime minister stressed.

"Those parliamentary forces that now declare that they will not  support me should understand that the decision on early elections to  the parliament was made not by me but by the citizens of Armenia, and  everyone who intends to oppose you will lose."
