Pashinyan gives political comment on scandalous record of  conversation between heads of NSS and SIS

ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, during his live broadcast on Facebook, gave a political comment on the audio recording of a conversation between  National Security Service (NSS) Director Artsrun Vanetsyan and the  head of the Special Investigative Service(SIS) Sasun Khachatryan.

He said that Vanetsyan himself will tell about the conversation at  his press conference. "Of course, the whole conversation can be  commented. But the most important thing is that somebody listened to  the director of the National Security Service, on what grounds? Did  he have a legal right to do this? " , Pashinyan wondered.

Then he said that corrupt officials - Robert Kocharyan, Serzh  Sargsyan, Gagik Khachatryan, Manvel Grigoryan, Taron Margaryan feel  that the time has come when they will have to say goodbye to the  stolen funds, therefore they are attempting various steps. "But we  will not use blackmail, we will not allow this, the case on March 1  has already been opened, the killers should be in prison, the stolen  goods should be returned to the people. Now it's your turn to  consolidate in the fight against murderers and corrupt officials,  "Pashinyan said. 

Touching on the fragment of the conversation in which the head of the  SIS claims that the instruction to arrest the CSTO Secretary General  Yuri Khachaturov in the framework of the case on March 1, 2008 came  from the Prime Minister,  Pashinyan explained: "I said yesterday that  I trust all those who were appointed to the posts of heads of law  enforcement structures, because I demanded exceptionally legitimate  work from them, and if the head of this or that service tells me that  someone needs to be arrested, I believe that he acts within the law  and I say - arrest. " Commenting on another fragment from the  conversation, when the head of the NSS acknowledges that the judge  who is considering the Kocharyan's case called him and asked for  instructions on the verdict of the second president, Pashinyan said:  "Yes, I have already said many times that as part of the former  corrupt system, many judges until now, by inertia, call the  authorities, trying to get permission from them for certain actions.  "

To note,  in the record of the conversation between the head of the  National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan and the head of the Special  Investigative Service Sasun Khachatryan, the parties are discussing  the arrest of the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, as  well as the danger of incarcerating the CSTO Secretary General Yuri  Khachaturov, as "Russia was hardly soothed". Vanetsyan gives  Khachatryan legal advice on what measure of restraint can be taken  against Khachaturov instead of arrest. They also talk about former  defense minister Mikhael Harutyunyan, lawyer Vahe Grigoryan, a friend  of former defense minister Seyran Ohanyan and others. At the  beginning of the conversation, Khachatryan tells Vanetsyan what  Robert Kocharyan said when he saw the secret order by Mikael  Harutyunyan, which was the reason for launching criminal prosecution  against them (according to this order, allegedly, the army was  involved in the events of March 1, 2008, ed. note). Khachatryan  states that Kocharyan's lawyer, Ruben Sahakyan stated that this is  political persecution, he asked the data of all the investigators  participating in the case. "In general, he is engaged in stupid  things," Sasun Khachatryan said. In response to Vanetsyan's question  about how Kocharyan reacted to the order, Khachatryan states: "He was  furious." Vanetsyan further confesses:  "A judge called me who must  pass a sentence on the arrest, he was scared, said he should study  all the grounds before the verdict, I said you can study, but  Kocharyan should be arrested in any case''.
