Pre-election campaign for Council of Elders of Yerevan started:  Pashinyan intends to take an active part in it

ArmInfo. Today, the election campaign for the Council of Elders of Yerevan started, in  which 8 parties and 4 blocs take part. Some political forces started  the campaign by giving press conferences ("Yerkir Tsirani"), the  others organized a march through the streets of Yerevan  ("Dashnaktsutyun"), others will hold a rally ("My step"), the rest  will hold courtyard meetings.

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan intends to take an active part in pre-electoral campaign supporting "My step" bloc. "As far as I know, the law does not  prohibit this, and if it prohibits, I do not even know if it's worth  to go for vacation because of this," Pashinyan wondered in a  conversation with journalists. At the same time, he assured that he  excludes the use of an administrative resource in the Yerevan  elections.

To note "Luys" bloc with the Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan,  "My  step" bloc with the actor Hayk Marutyan, the ARF with Mikayel  Manukyan, the "Reformists" party with film director Artak Avetisyan  take part in the elections. Heritage party presented Raffi  Hovhannisyan's candidacy. The "Yerevan Soceity" bloc nominated  architect Anahit Tarkhanyan. Gevorg Sandalyan became the "leader" of  the Democratic-Liberal Union of Armenia. The "Yerkir Tsirani" party  is headed by Zaruhi Postanjyan. The list of the Democratic Path was  headed by Manuel Gasparyan, the Orinats Erkir party by Mher  Shahgeldyan, "Yerevan Residents" by MP Ararat Zohrabyan, and the  Prosperous Armenia Party by MP Naira Zohrabyan.
