Sanasaryan: All tenders in Etchmiadzin were won by organizations associated with Manvel Grigoryan`s family

ArmInfo. Medical insurance of  former mayor of Echmiadzin Karen Grigoryan's  family, who is son of  General Manvel Grigoryan, was covered  at the expense of the  municipality. The head of the State Control Service of Armenia David  Sanasaryan stated today  at a press conference, summing up the  results of 100 days of work. 

He noted that numerous tenders in Echmiadzin were won by  organizations that in one way or another were connected with this  family. There were recorded cases when there was no tariff proposal,  however, a contract was already concluded with the tender  participants. Sanasaryan also noted that the results of the  inspections in Echmiadzin are now being summed up.

To recall, on June 16, MP of the Republic of Armenia from RPA,   General Manvel Grigoryan was detained by the National Security   Service of Armenia. During the searches, the NSS employees found and   seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, in addition to   that, a large arsenal of unregistered weapons, up to mortars, and   rations for soldiers collected by schoolchildren, were found in the   mansion and at the country house. On June 19, the Yerevan Court of   First Instance decided to apply a measure of restraint against   Grigoryan in the form of arrest for a period of 2 months. However, on  August 17,  Grigoryan's lawyer stated that the arrest of his ward was  extended  for another 2 months.   Manvel Grigoryan's son 

Karen Grigoryan was accused of embezzlement on a particularly large  scale. Manvel Grigorian's wife Nazik Amiryan was also detained  charged with article 235 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition,  sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition,  explosives or explosive devices). It should be noted that Nazik  Amiryan voluntarily surrendered to the investigative bodies.
