Sharmazanov: CSTO plays a key role in ensuring Armenia`s security

ArmInfo. The issues of the  Armenian-Belarusian cooperation, as well as the development of  inter-parliamentary contacts were discussed during the September 4  meeting by the vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard  Sharmazanov and the Belarusian Ambassador to Armenia Igor Nazaruk.

As ArmInfo was told in the press service of the National Assembly of  Armenia, Sharmazanov noted the importance of cooperation of  legislative bodies on international parliamentary platforms, in  particular, within the framework of the CSTO PA. "In the matter of  ensuring the security of Armenia, the CSTO plays a key role," the  vice speaker of the Armenian parliament said.

At the same time Sharmazanov informed that an international  scientific conference devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Battle  of Stalingrad and Kursk will be held in October this year in Yerevan.

The Ambassador of Belarus in his turn noted the importance of  organizing scientific conferences, and stressed that he would  definitely take part in this event.  The interlocutors also discussed  the issues of the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Armenian-  Belarusian inter-parliamentary commission in Minsk in autumn, noting  the importance of discussing issues on the heroization of fascism and  Nazism.
